Overview
Santrika stands for Sanskrit-Sanskriti-Sanshodhika and is a unique institution under the banner and umbrella of Jana Prabodhini. It is a storehouse of books in Sanskrit language. It is a research institution where important topics (mostly ancient) are investigated; it is also a place where instructions are impotant theological sacraments. The synthesis of Yoga, Knowledge, devotion and work is essential. For the Indian Culture, which leads to all sided development of a person.
The value of sanskrit and sanskaras needs to be recognised by all of us. As a tool of cultural communication, Sanskrit holds a unique place among the languages of the world. It comes down to us from prehistoric times, and it has been nourishing a large family of languages, both national and international. Sanskrit has given birth to the Adhyatma Vidya, the science of man in depth.
Philosophy and Mission
Undertake fundamental and applied research in the field of Indian Culture, languages and literature and take efforts to strengthen the Indian ethos as highlighted through these media
Pursue research in the field of national integration and create a forum for exchange of ideas on topics of national concern
Build bridges across differnt social and sectoral denominations by pursuing activities, projects and programmes relevant in the changing world
Reinterpret and make available contribution of sixteen sanskaras in the Sanatana Dharma through publications of booklets, religious texts and modern audio-visual tools such as video- cassettes.
Undertake post-graduate and doctoral research in the field of Sanskrit and ancient Indian culture
